Germantown Plaza, managed by Finard Properties of Memphis, Tennessee will soon be home to a second location for The Pie Folks set to open on February 28, 2011.  “The Pie Folks” is a family run homemade pie business based out of Olive Branch, Mississippi.  The store’s owner Audrey Anderson won national attention in 2008 after winning a “Best Slice Challenge” contest that was broadcast on ABC’s Good Morning America.  The new store, only the second in the company’s chain, will occupy 1000 sf of retail space at Germantown Plaza.

Finard Properties of Memphis, Tennessee announces the expansion of Tuesday Morning, a retailer with more than 840 stores nationwide.  Tuesday Morning, with headquarters in Dallas Texas, specializes in upscale closeout merchandise and is known for its deep discounts on gifts and accessories often seen in more upscale department stores.  The current store, located at Germantown Plaza, will increase it’s size by 5,000 sf for a total of 12,000 sf of retail space.  The construction, which is scheduled to be complete by March 31, 2011, will be performed by TDL Contractors Inc. of Southaven, MS.

Century 21 signed a 5-year lease for 3,500 sf at Germantown Plaza, and the office should open in August 2010.  Germantown Plaza also welcomes Bed Bath and Beyond with the opening of a 28,000 sf store.  The addition of BBB completes part of the retenanting effort at the center with Hobby Lobby and Tuesday Morning.  Papa Murphy’s Pizza and Overstuffed Deli opened in the new expansion area of Germantown Plaza.
